With the scissors method you can perfect the fine art of beard trimming and get that satisfactory feeling afterwards that you have a man made bush dangling from your chin.

Alternatively if you decide to go with an electric beard trimmer then these also usually come with a guide. By changing the position of the guide you can control how close it trims to your face, similar to the guide on a lawnmower. It is always best practice to adjust it to trim for a long beard first, as again you don’t want to trim too much off now do you

With the moustache part you can comb this down and trim accordingly to match.

Now once you have finished it is recommended to use a Dermalogica balm or lotion to soften the skin and allow those new hairs to grow out, also to make sure your beard keeps that silk smooth look and all your soup is washed clean out.
